Visit-Worthy Cafes for Breakfast and Brunch in Palma de Mallorca
Brunchit
Decor can have a huge impact on the first impression of a cafe, and when the flower-packed facade of Brunchit greets you as you approach it, it’s impossible not to get hooked.
The menu is extremely diverse, offering anything from shakshuka and omelets to salads and sandwiches to pancakes and toast. The dishes are quite big, and everything looks so good that you immediately want to dive in.
To make things even better, you can accompany your meal with a cup of one of their unique coffee drinks, natural juices, or a milkshake.
This place is definitely a frontrunner when it comes to the best Brunch in Palma de Mallorca, and it also has branches in Malaga, Marbella, and Alicante (another one will open soon in Madrid).
Address: Plaça Major.

Santina
Located just outside the indoor Santa Catalina Market, Santina is a wonderful cafe in Palma de Mallorca, offering plenty of healthy dishes alongside classic breakfast and brunch favorites (some of which are vegan and gluten-free).
Those include poached eggs, Belgian waffles, bagels, poke bowls, and much more.
Beyond the delicious food, the inviting interiors and the overall vibe of the cool Santa Catalina neighborhood (known as the ‘Soho’ of Palma) will put a smile on your face.
Address: Plaça Rei Joan Carles I, 9.
Opening hours: Monday to Saturday 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM, Sundays 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM.

El Perrito
Also located in the lovely neighborhood of Santa Catalina, you’ll find the two branches of El Perrito, one of the best cafes in Palma de Mallorca, where you can have an amazing breakfast, brunch, and even lunch.
From bagels and sandwiches to eggs benedict and yogurt bowls, there are more than enough dishes on the menu, which also includes some vegan and gluten-free options.
The coziness and friendly staff definitely add to the positive experience, so do yourself a favor and don’t skip out on this place.

Rawcoco Green Bar
If you’re all about healthy food made with seasonal ingredients, look no further than Rawcoco Green Bar.
It also has branches in Madrid (I love the one in the neighborhood of Salamanca) and Gijon (and it will soon open new ones in Malaga, Marbella, San Sebastian, Pamplona, and Zaragoza).
The menu offers a large variety of options, including toasts, paninis, waffles, wraps, salads, healthy smoothies, and even cakes, so anyone can find something to devour here.

Santosha
A beloved brunch place in Palma is Santosha, a lovely cafe that prides itself on using local organic ingredients (expect a whole lot of veggies) and having an inclusive atmosphere where everyone is welcome.
Apart from the friendly service that will make you fall in love with this place, there’s no shortage of exciting dishes on the menu (most are vegetarian), including fluffy pancakes, a hummus platter, a daily changing quiche, and even tacos.
Address: Carrer del Metge Matas, 2.
Opening hours: Wednesday to Sunday 10 AM – 3:30 PM (Friday 12 PM – 3:30 PM).
Menu: Here.

ROSEVELVET BRUNCH & COFFEE
Situated in a quiet street a stone’s throw away from La Rambla avenue (no, I’m not confusing Mallorca’s capital with Barcelona), you’ll find Rosevelvet, one of the best places to have breakfast or brunch in Palma.
While the menu doesn’t offer a whole lot of options, the food is clearly made with love.
Since it’s also a bakery, most if not all dishes include some kind of bread (just the way I like it), and for dessert, you can indulge in one of the mouthwatering cakes and cookies on display.
Address: Carrer de la Missió, 15.
Opening hours: Monday to Friday 9 AM – 4 PM, Saturday – Sunday 9 AM – 3 PM.
Menu: Here.
Olula Café
Near La Rambla, you’ll also find Olula Cafe, one of the cutest, coziest cafes in the city.
Serving high-quality cups of joe and instagrammable food (including pancakes, yogurt bowls, cakes, and amazing toasts) at reasonable prices, this place will win you over in a heartbeat.
Address: Carrer de Santiago Rusiñol, 1.
Opening hours: Tuesday to Saturday 9 AM – 4 PM, Sunday 10 AM – 3 PM.

Surry Hills Coffee
Who doesn’t love to savor a cup of specialty coffee? Well, Surry Hills is a great place to do exactly that.
Located not too far from Rosevelvet, this cafe also offers a large variety of toasts and sandwiches, as well as a breakfast platter and French toast. It’s good to know that many of the dishes have a gluten-free version.
Address: Carrer del Carme, 12.
Opening hours: Monday to Friday 8 AM – 4 PM, Saturday – Sunday 9 AM – 2 PM.
Cafè Riutort
Located on the same street as Surry Hills Coffee, Cafè Riutort is a modern, minimalist-style cafe in the city center of Palma.
Specialty coffee and simple food done well are what make this place a total winner, ideal for those who love a breakfast that includes bread (I mean, who doesn’t?). Seriously, a classic avocado toast with a poached egg made with fresh local ingredients never disappoints.
Address: Carrer del Carme, 25.
Opening hours: Tuesday to Friday 8 AM – 4 PM, Saturday 9 AM – 2 PM.

Claro
Small yet adorable, Claro is another must-try breakfast place in the neighborhood of Santa Catalina. From superfood lattes and natural juices to yogurt bowls and salads to yummy toasts and pancakes (pancakes are served only on weekends), the food here is vibrant and exciting.
You’ll also see quite a few vegan and gluten-free dishes on the menu, so anyone can find something to eat here.
Address: Carrer d’Anníbal, 16, B.
Opening hours: Monday to Saturday 8 AM – 6 PM, Sunday 9 AM – 4 PM.
Cappuccino Borne
With many more branches across Mallorca and a few in Ibiza, Malaga, Seville, Madrid, and Valencia, Cappuccino is a well-known group of cafes in Spain.
While I thought some of the prices were a bit expensive, I did love the decor and overall vibe of the place (I highly recommend sitting inside).
You can devour a full brunch for a fixed price or have your pick of the many toasts, sandwiches, crepes, eggs, bowls, and other options found on the menu.
Address: Carrer d’Anníbal, 19.
Opening hours: Here.
Breakfast menu: Here.

Bacan
A charming spot serving some of the best coffee in Palma de Mallorca is BACAN.
Alongside your cup of joe, you can have an açai or a yogurt bowl, toast, sandwiches, or something sweet, and if you’re really hungry, order the brunch for two, after which you might need to take a nap.
It seems like BACAN has quickly become a popular place amongst locals and travelers, so you might have to wait until you find an available table (if you’re short on time, it’s best to get there right when it opens).
Address: Carrer del Baró de Santa Maria del Sepulcre, 12.
Opening hours: Monday to Friday 9 AM – 2 PM, Saturday 10 AM – 2 PM.
Menu: Here.
An Extra Tip
When you’re wandering through Palma’s old town, stop at CAFÉSPHÈRE, a tiny specialty coffee shop located in a lovely little plaza (Plaça de la Pescateria), where you can take a break from all the walking and enjoy a great cup of coffee.

Bonus: Visit-Worthy Bakeries to Enjoy the Best Breakfast in Palma de Mallorca
If all you want for breakfast is coffee and pastries (which is totally legit), the abundance of bakeries in Palma de Mallorca will blow your mind.
The most famous ones, which you must try, are Fornet de la Soca, Forn del Santo Cristo, and Ca’n Joan de s’Aigo (where you can also have amazing hot chocolate).
You can try all kinds of traditional Mallorquin baked goods, but note that if you don’t consume meat, it’s important to ask which ones contain lard. Ensaïmada, for example, always contains pork lard (saïm = pork lard), but Coca de Patata might be made with oil instead.
