In the past few years, traveling has become very accessible. There is information about almost every destination you can think of, and there are many options for flight and accommodation booking. However, all that information can also be overwhelming when you are trying to plan a trip from A to Z. So before you stress out, take a look at this list of my favorite travel resources, which I can guarantee will make your trip planning easier.

*I try to keep the information on this blog as updated as possible, but I still recommend consulting the latest prices, opening hours, and other details on the official website of each site, hotel, and tour, as well as checking the updated public transport routes and timetables. Flights and Transportation Travel Resources
Skyscanner
Skyscanner is the perfect website for a flexible flight search. If you don’t have specific dates in mind, use the ‘Whole month’ or ‘Cheapest month’ options to find the lowest fares on a particular month. Another great option is to mark ‘Everywhere’ on the ‘destination’ search box, which allows you to compare flight prices between different destinations.
Skyscanner also has an incredible ‘Inspire me’ page in which you can see all destinations on a map along with a price graph. I find it very helpful to search for flights in such a visual way.
Omio
Omio is an excellent transportation search engine for your travels across Europe since it compares flight, train, and bus prices, all in one place.
Accommodation Travel Resources
Booking
Booking is one of my favorite websites to look for accommodation. It is simple to use, and it has many filtering options to help you get the best search results.
Trip Planning Travel Resources
Route Perfect
Route Perfect is a great tool to use if you are planning a trip that includes travel by bus, train, or car. It shows the entire route on a map, recommends things to do at each stop, and suggests stop-overs along the way. Plus, you can get inspired by other people’s planned itineraries or use them as they are.
Google My Maps
It is a simple tool, but when I’m planning a trip to a city, I like to mark all the spots on Google My Maps. By creating one layer for places to visit and another layer for places to eat (or a layer for each day), you can easily plan your itinerary. It’s also super easy to plan a road trip with Google Maps and see the entire route on the map. Of course, you should always leave some room for spontaneity and a change of plans.
Tours and Activities Travel Resources
Get Your Guide
Get Your Guide is the most extensive collection of guided tours around the world. Prices vary depending on the type of activity and services included, but there are tours suitable for every budget.
Civitatis
While I haven’t taken a tour by Civitatis yet, they seem to offer some exciting and interesting tours and activities. They mostly operate in main cities around Europe, but New York and Marrakech are also on their destination list.
Airbnb Experiences
Airbnb is constantly evolving and is now a platform where you can book tours hosted by locals in addition to home rentals. Airbnb Experiences offer a large variety of cool and unique activities that you will not find on any other tour booking website. And if you have a passion of your own that you want to share with others, you can host an experience in your city.
